Humanism and Atheism in the Bible |
TO HUMANIST and ATHEIST, who being afraid of the truth and wisdom of the Bible will not allow Bible believing Christians to post on their communities. Have you ever noticed how humanist break their own arm while patting themselves on the back, and then expect applause for such stupidity. That kind of enamor with themselves and their own opinions remind one of several verses in the Bible which say it much better, and with authority, than we could or maybe should. 1. Psalm 14:1: “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” 2. Job 5:8-14. “I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number: Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields: To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety. He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong. They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the noonday as in the night.” 3. Psalm 49:6-11. “They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him: (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:) That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption. For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others. Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.” 4. Provers 16:18-20. “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.” And if they continue to shun the pearls of wisdom from the Word of God, the Bible, then it becomes necessary to heed the advice Jesus gave over 2000 years ago-- 5. Matthew 7:6. “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” Or it may be that they are among those of II Timothy 3:1-5 that Christians are told by the Apostle Paul and the Word of God to “turn away from”. After all these are the last days and indeed these are perilous times that bring out the worse of men that have a form of godliness but deny God. 6. “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” (II Timothy 3:1-5) NOTE: Humanists and atheists like to brag about their Christian friends; however if such Christians are serious about Bible such as above, "from such turn away", they will avoid humanists and atheists, or even some in the churches that exhibit such behavior. 7. Many men, women, and youth have always thought more highly of themselves than they should, it is called pride; so thousands of years ago God devised a man to take care of these types then had the Apostles to write it in the Book. a. I Corinthians 3:19,20. "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, 'He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.' And 'again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.'" NOTE: Where were they written in the Scriptures? The first in the oldest book in the Bible, Job 5:13; and the second in perhaps the most famous, Psalm 94:11. b. I Corinthians 1:18-21. "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe." 8. The sceptic like the humanist or atheist has little hope since the Bible states, "He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11:6) |
