Zinger in the dictionary noun \ˈziŋ-ər\ : a quick and clever comment that criticizes or insults someone |
Zingers of the world and from the world {some Christian in name only can be "of the world" in the sense of the little epistle of I John} are quick and clever with both the creativity of human wisdom and the devices of Satan. They are comments that criticize the faith of most Christians in the real body of Christ now on earth, those members on earth of "the church of the firstborn written in heaven" (Hebrews 12:23). They insult the Bible and "the faith once for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 3); however as individuals made in the image of God they deserve answers from Holy Zingers of the Holy Bible--that is the province of Christian Apologetics and the Philosophy of Religion with a little common horse sense, that is stable thinking! {See Special for the New Year and always, "The Bible as the standard for faith and practice."} |

1. That is impossible just like it is not possible to declare yourself not ever born, you are here for better or worse. 2. no one church has the resources to carry on its shoulders the total responsibility of the great commission, nor should that burden be put on them alone as if they were the only Christians left 3. In the major body of living Christians of the Bible, we are sorry it took so long for you to recognize the unique message of the cross of the Bible as if new and only given to you. 4. Sorry, but the "all Israel saved" of Romans 9:6 and etc in Romans, "Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:" 5. All Christians are immersed inside with the Holy Spirit at real faith, now dedication and maturity are a different thing; but in no case are unknown tongues the evidence of anything except disobedience to the Word of God in I Corinthians 14. 6. Every student of hermeneutics or the rules of the Bible Itself for understanding knows, the fundamental principle of "Just let the Bible say what it is trying to say", rather than spiritualizing it with what you want it to say which is true but written plainly in other places of the Bible. . |
1. "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." (Hebrews 6:4-6) 2. Bare min there were 11 ministers at the table when Jesus commissioned Christians, teaching, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:15,16) 3. "What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?" (I Corinthians 14:6) 4. Zechariah 13:8,9 "And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God." 5. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." (John 1:12,13) 6. "Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God." (John 5:39) "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet. (John 7:38-40) |
1. "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." (John 3:4-8) 2. "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another." (Romans 12:3-5) 3. "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." (Galatians 2:20) 4. Zechariah 14:2 "For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city." 5. "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church." (I Corinthians 14:4) 6. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (II Timothy 3:16,17) |
